Who are the parents of this baby?
The fawn baby
The fawn baby is a little hen and has only been out of the nest two weeks.
Her father is a Light back fawn and the mother is a normal grey.
A few months ago the parents were in the the middle of a clutch already, but they laid two eggs in their nest anyway. I took the eggs and gave them to my society finches
(Dancer & Snowball) and they took care of those eggs like they were
their own young. A few weeks later, one of the eggs had hatched! Sadly the
other had been dead in shell, but I was happy for the one baby.
So I guess even though the societies were not the birds who laid the eggs, they still were the parents.
When did this baby hatch?

What gender is this baby?
Female.
Do you hand feed this baby?
yes, I do.
The societies have taken on the job of trying hatch six CFW eggs, and they do not want to feed this baby.
Why do you hand feed this baby?
Because, it is so fun to see a tiny bird bite the biggest bite of food and I have always wanted a hand tamed bird.
